Hello, my name is Ellie, a 24-year-old Publishing Studies graduate and proofreader currently residing in a little town in Scotland. I am a writer, a Disney enthusiast, a baker, a Ravenclaw, a colouring book lover and, above all, a massive bookworm with a somewhat worrying tea addiction.
I have been a book lover since the beginning of time; ever since I was tiny and wanted to read my sister’s books despite only knowing a handful of the words, and ever since everyone else wanted to watch television while I gladly preferred reading. Things have stayed that way, and I think they always will. Books are my weakness, my strength, my passion, my purpose, my life.
I read in private, in public, while I walk, while I get dressed, while I’m supposed to be socialising or studying or doing other mundane things, in the morning, in the evening, throughout the night, in planes, in the car, in the garden, and anywhere else you can think of.
I am by no means an advanced book reviewer, but here I will document my thoughts on the books that I have read and those I soon hope to read, in the hope that it may help somebody. So if you’re looking for terribly well-done reviews, I doubt you’ve come to the right place, but I will tear books down to their rawest in my way. This little blog, a mere sailboat for one in the stormy seas that are the blogging world, is a sort of creative outlet for me and a place where I can share and practice my writing. I do hope that you – whoever you are reading this – like what you see, and I hope to see you again soon.
